Words of Life:

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

We have seen God in the life of Jesus.  We know his heart, we know his compassion, we know his faithfulness and devotion to us.  What can we give in return?  Our lives.  Talk with your family this week about what that means for each of you.

Events:

  • Sunday AM:  MS with the Jackson’s, HS with Joe.
  • Sunday Night: LTC Night.
  • The Feed (4/9): Karen Hunt
  • Crossover: Transformed…coming April 18-20…sign up deadline is April 9. The cost is just $10

Thanks so much for letting us spend time with your children this weekend!  Even though it was crazy and busy, we bonded as a youth group.  Some of our high school students spent their Saturday evening blessing our middle schoolers by “capturing” them from their homes and hanging out with them on a fun-filled video scavenger hunt. (Thanks to Jamie Witt and Phil Erwin for being our drivers).  It was fun to watch them connect and just be “kids!”  We finished up our guys’ and girls’ classes this past Sunday morning.  We pray that your child was challenged to become a godly man and godly woman through our book studies of “Captivating” and “Wild at Heart.”  A special thanks to the Kent and Elizabeth Jackson for opening up their lives and sharing their hearts as they helped co-teach our classes with us.  Sunday evening was another adventure as the girls spent several hours preparing, decorating, and serving a meal to our guys.  It was truly a blessing to watch as members of our group sat by others that they normally wouldn’t talk to, carry on a conversation, and grow closer to one another.  We cracked up all night as they played, Honey If You Love Me Smile.  More than anything, the kids were able to be transparent and be themselves (something we have really focused on in our classes over the last 13 weeks).  Comments from all the kids were, “When are we doing this again…this was so fun!”  Hope your child was blessed as we were!

Love to all,

Blair and Mel (and Brody)

Words of Life:

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9

We talked Sunday night about what God was doing in our lives or has done. I asked them to ask themselves that question this week and see if they notice anything. “Are you listening? Listen up. Do you hear me? “This is what God said to Joshua and is saying to all of us. “Trust me and go.”

Words of Life:

Mt 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
